Bonding routers take multiple WAN connections and aggregate them to provide a highly resilient and faster combined connection.
They do this using a VPN tunnel to a high speed provider. A router with multiple WAN interfaces is placed at the demand end of the tunnel and a hub or concentrator is placed at the provider end.
The router can have multiple interfaces connected by DSL, Cable, Ethernet to another modem or router, 4G (or 3G/2G).
The VPN hub can be a physical hub in a data centre or a virtual hub on Virtual Platform.

The benefits of this technology fall into two main categories:
The multiple WANs provide redundant connections and the configuration can be set to favour the use of lower cost or higher speed connections when available. If one connection fails, the VPN tunnel will continue to provide the service seamlessly. If you have a mission critical application that absolutely must have an uninterrupted connection, then this is the solution for you.
The multiple connections are bonded together to provide higher bandwidth. This can be particularly important if you have a single device which needs high
This kind of technology needs support and expertise to get the best out of it. It's not just plug and play, and so we sell it with support and maintenance contracts and want you to talk to us to ensure that the best solution is specified for your needs.
